Paid Summer Instructional Coach Opportunity with Breakthrough San Francisco

Breakthrough San Francisco offers an academically rigorous summer program to high-potential, high-need middle schoolers, and a first teaching experience for prospective educators at top colleges and universities. Breakthrough is looking for Instructional Coaches to mentor these young teaching interns in classroom management, instructional design, and curriculum implementation. Positions are available in all departments: Math, Science, Literature, and Writing. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience, ideally at the middle school level.

The position provides good pay for reasonable hours: a $5,760 stipend for 30 hrs/week over 8 weeks of the summer.

Past coaches have called their summer with Breakthrough the "best professional development [they've] ever experienced." Coaching is rewarding, challenging, and energizing. You'll come back to your school in the fall filled up, not drained, having spent a summer mentoring enthusiastic young teachers.

Details about Breakthrough San Francisco site are here, the coaching job here, and the application is available here.  The online application goes live at the end of January and will be considered on a rolling basis until mid-March.
